It has everything you need and there are some gorgeous small towns such as Beechworth and Bright that are great for day trips.

If asked that question today, I would say, Australia is a land with a rich black history that dates back tens of thousands of years and I have so much more to learn about the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in order to understand what it means to live in Australia.
